Young Voices Be Heard
Welcome to the Young Voices Be Heard website. Young Voices Be Heard is a program designed to uplift and inspire the youth in Arizona through outreach projects centered in creative writing and spoken word.
Young Voices Be Heard started in 2004 in Sedona with the help of Logan Phillips, under the direction of Christopher Lane. Since then hundreds of professional performance poets have given workshops and compelling performances to thousands of stutents all over Arizona. Currently the program is partnered with Black Pearl Poetry Productions to bring our students performances of the highest quality.
Young Voices Be Heard continues today to help young people find their voice under the 501 (c)(3) umbrella of NORAZ Poets and has received grant awards from such esteemed foundations such as the Sedona Community Foundation, the Flagstaff Communtiy Foundation, Flagstaff Cultural Partners and the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
